Potential Artists to use #2

After much debate and deliberation, we have made a list of some of the songs/ Artists that we would like to produce a music video for and, if used, the brief would be achieved and fulfilled to a good standard.  These arent our final selection, but it is closer than last time to finalising a song to use.

1)

Strengths:
- Catchy and memorable riff.
- Variety throughout the song, including several different sections.
- Clear message in the lyrics that would be easy to explore and experiment with in a music video

2)
Strengths:
- Clear song structure
- Catchy and memorable chorus
- Different sections with the introducting of different instruments

Weaknesses:
- Perhaps quite repetitive with some, but not lots of variation

3)
Strengths:
- Introduction of different instruments and backing vocals
- Experiments with major and minor chords and tones
- Emotive and powerful lyrics - with a memorable lyrical phrase

Weakness
- Not many dramatic changes
- Not so many clear sections

2) There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals
- Either illustrative, amplifying, contradicting

3) There is a relationship between music and visuals

- either illustrative, amplifying, contradicting

4) The demands of the record label will include the need for lots of close ups of the artist and the artist may develop motifs which recur across their work
- (a visual style)

5) There is a frequent reference to notion of looking (screens within screens, telescopes, etc) and particularly voyeuristic treatment of the female body.

6) There is often Inter Textual References (ITR)
